I almost made an impulse purchase of an MTH Mel’s Diner, but now I’m thinking of going back to get it. What does it do? Is it like the MTH fire station where some cars drive around it? I’m guessing it has lights. Any sounds, smoke, or anything special? Is the Mel’s sign like a Miller’s Engineering flashing or neon looking thing?

Thanks EZ! I saw the fire station before, so the fire truck sirens make sense. What are the Mel’s sounds? Like drive thru chatter? Ugh! I now wish I would’ve just bought it while I was there.

I have one that I use on a modular layout, it always attracts attention.
Everyone who visits enjoys Mel’s. The moving cars, the waitresses, dialog and music are always a hit. On the other hand, I never use it when I am alone because the music is repetitive, the sequence is about 5 minutes long and it is LOUD. It has no volume control but I did add one.
