Looking to Pick up some Lionel Spare Parts

Lionel has a factory parts sale coming up. I believe it will be the weekend of November 4th. They give a fairly good discount. I usually put together a list of parts to order in advance. The only down side is that sometimes some of the parts get sold out between the time I make the list and the sale.

Each of your engines should have come with a spare set of traction tires, so I wouldn't worry about spares until you use the first set up.

You could enter the product number on the Lionel parts site and find out what model smoke unit you have in each, then order the wadding from there.

There is not really any other spare parts that routinely need replacement that I can think of. LED's last forever.

Lionel is your best bet.  As CW noted an Open House is coming up on November 4-6 and typically parts are 50% off during this period.  As far as the correct part, using the 6-number you should be able to research these on Lionel website.  If you can't locate them a call to Lionel may be in order and they can help.  Also if you post the 6-number here of the engines maybe some bored forumite will do the leg work for you and generate a list.

Thanks for the info and help guys. Always appreciated. I just don't want to get caught without a simple part to repair a broken engine. I know Christmas is coming and lionel and their customer support gets super busy that time of year.

Some smoke fan motors and also maybe some smoke resistors. Not sure how many different ones they have though? Probably not feasible if they have many different ones. Smoke units and repairing/reworking them seem to be a fairly frequent topic around here.
