Los Angeles & Salt Lake Wood Caboose

I have an OMI brass LA & SL wood caboose from about 20 years ago that I would finally like to paint. Does anyone have any photos or information about how these cabooses would have been painted in the 1940's or 1950's. I am guessing just "regular" Union Pacific colors for the appropriate time since the UP took over complete control of the LA & SL in the 1920's? Thanks in advance for any info.

Not to be a cynic, or anything, but paint it as you prefer, post pictures, and somebody will critique your choice.
