I run two mainlines with 72inch switches meeting each other and off one side of the inner loop is a mini yard spurs.  I have a Z-4000, with MTH realtrax.  I have a power terminal on the outer side of the outer loop and outer side of the spur off the inner loop and my Legacy connected on the inner side of the inner loop with one black wire.  The light on the power terminal with the one black wire stays unlite until a train passes over it then it lights up for a while and turns off again.  All switch lights stay lit.  My legacy engines stop right as it crosses the first switch.  My MTH premier hesitates but continues to move if going above 25 mph.  Only the first two passengers car lights blink, the rest stay lit through that area.  I checked the brass connectors and made sure they were right and they are.  Should I add another power terminal or try something else?

The fact that you see lights blinking seems to indicate you have a connection issue of some kind.  Since it happens at one location, I'd be looking very closely at that place.  The behavior of the two locomotives makes sense, TMCC/Legacy will stop with a power interruption, but DCS will continue if they coast through the loss of power.

I'd say it's the weight of the locomotive that is causing some issue with a connection.  It's probably a mechanical issue and not simple a poor connection.
