Lost ditch lights

I have a new CN Dash-9 all the lights where working fine and now my ditch lights stop working.all of the other lights still are working.I did engine reset did not help.should i take a look in side or just send it back to lionel for repair.

Any one else have the same problem with there ditch lights just stop working.

Thanks for any info if you have it

If the reset doesn't fix it, I'd send it back.

Ditch Lights have 4 states:

OFF always
OFF during motion, flash on with horn
ON during motion, flash (off) with Horn <- DEFAULT
ON solid

You can change the settings with the Legacy Remote Ditch Light controls. When you press the Ditch Light ICONS you will see a message on the display indicating the current selection. these modes survive power cycle. All locos have had this feature for a few years, but the cab-2 code needs to be v1.3 or later to see this functionality.

How could i turn my ditch lights off if i have v1.2?? do i need v1.3 to be able to turn them back on.

what does it mean if I do not have the icons you mentioned? will it still work? I have ver 1.3 and I do not have these icons in the space where they would be.

I just loaded my cab2 & base with v 1.3 and still do not have ditch light icons on my cab2 remote.Is this because i loaded my diesel modules be for i upgrade to v 1.3 Help me what's going on with this silly remote.Just looked at lionel video and the Icons where on cab2 remote in video.

just did it to and still do not have ditch light icons on my cab2.right now i am looking at lionel legacy instructions book and on page 68 there is no ditch light icon.but there is icons for GROUND LIGHT ON/OFF AND HAZARD LIGHT ON/OFF
and i do not even have them on my cab2.is there some prompt code or some thing.

This is not true it all depends on what's in the module for that engine diesel or steam.I just tried it out on my CSXAC6000 #618 with legacy and the icons showed up and the icons are for the ground lights only-does not control ditch lights sorry.the new CN Dash-9 that i have does not have this option so i guess engine will go back to lionel for repair
