LCCA's "Captain Chaos" Caponi Visits Arkansas Traveler Hobbies in Bald Knob, AR (5-25-13)
I hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe Memorial Holiday weekend. Please remember and honor those who sacrificed and served to protect and defend our country. We have a great way of life here. We are able to enjoy our freedoms and the magic of Lionel trains because of these men and women's commitment, sacrifice and service. Thank you to those who have served or who are presently serving our country! THANK YOU! Please be safe in your travels this weekend.
If you are in the area and looking for something train related to do, consider going to the Arkansas Traveler Hobbies in Bald Knob AR this Saturday. LCCA President-elect Lou Caponi aka "Captain Chaos" will be in Arkansas for a few days. He will visit ARKANSAS TRAVELER HOBBIES in Bald Knob, AR, on Saturday, May 25, from 10 to noon for a "talk trains" session and a Q&A exchange with LCCA members, ATH O-gauge hobbyists, and others with an interest in Lionel trains and the hobby.
Come and learn more about the new Lionel/LCCA FasTrack Modular Railroad Layout. This system is a great way for those who do not have the space in their home or time to build a permanent toy train layout. LCCA member and owner of Arkansas Traveler Hobbies, Craig Christiansen will be on hand to demonstrate the features of an actual modular section. Everyone can build a modular section, bring it to a future LCCA Special Event and connect with other modules. This is a great way for you to operate your Lionel trains alongside other LCCA members and hobbyist. This is a great group project that any boy scout, girl scout, club, school and/or businesses can all participate with. Come and find out what this new LCCA/Lionel FasTrack Modular Railroad system is all about.
Lou Caponi is a former owner of a Hobby Shop, a long-time member of the LCCA Board of Directors, a Past President, the LCCA Convention Co-Chair, and for decades has served as the Product Manager for all LCCA-sponsored products made by Lionel LLC for club members only.
We'll gather for a self-pay lunch at nearby WHO DAT'S RESTAURANT at noon to 1 p.m. If you'd like to participate with this luncheon, please let Mike Mottler know by e-mail at mottlerm@gmail.com or by phone at 501 327-8747. Lou and Mike look forward to seeing ya'all there!
Be safe during this Holiday weekend!
