Hey Guys,
I am looking at some low voltage DC transformers, and one says: "Power cord build in short circuit/Over current/Over voltage/Over temperature protection, "
What in the world does this mean? That the power cord is going to "burn-out" if there is a short-circuit or other problem? If it does, . . . then what? Whole thing goes in the trash?

Without seeing the transformer the best guess would a resettable fuse is installed in line with the positive wire. It would auto reset after a fault is cleared.

Or, being a switching DC supply, most likely it has a self protecting foldback so the power supply section shuts down on over temp or over current.
Is this a wall wart or a DC train transformer?
Lots of wall warts that are also chargers that have interchangeable tips say that.
