I have a 263E which upon start up will not run. The headlight will not illuminate but sound, smoke, remote coupler all work fine. I tried a factory reset. No change. Any suggestions?..thank you!

Do you have control of the smoke on and off? Do other lights on the engine work? Could be a loose connection on the engine side, or a boiler board gone bad if this uses the PS-3 tender boiler board combo. G
Make sure the engine and tender are coupled correctly. I've had them do some weird stuff when that connection is wonky.

Thanks for the response GGG. I have smoke on and it operates, proto-coupler operates and I get sound. No lights at all illuminate. Manually trying to turn headlight on with DCS remote doesn't work either.
Can you control smoke on and off? Remember for PS-3 steam with 2 board set up if the tender items work all that is required is the AC power gets back to the tender from the engine drawbar. But for Engine operation 4 signal are required. PV, 5V, PCB Grd, Data. If smoke works, PV, Ground and 5V should be good. If you can turn off smoke data is good. That would point to bad boiler board for Motor function, or a internal harness issue for the lights or motor or both.
You have enough issues that it is best to have a tech check it out. Test board, then work the issues. G
Your drawbar could be damaged. Replace it and see if that fixes the issue.
