Lubricating 1122 O27 Switches / Turnouts

I searched but found nothing....

Does anyone have any tips or tricks lubricating Lionel O27 (1122) switches?

I've reworked a number of those switches. The main thing is to clean out any rust, and make sure the linkage and gear and solenoid plunger move freely without binding. I used graphite (sparingly) for lube on the sliding parts inside the switching mechanism.
