Your photo is not one of the M10,000, but, rather, one of it's successors, probably M10,001.  The difference was that the M10,000 was a spark ignited engine of some 600HP using a distillate fuel, whereas all of it's successors were actually diesel powered.  The M10,000 was, essentially an articulated "Gas Electric" three-car train.  The engine car body on the M10,001 wqs considerably larger than that on the M10,000 and it pulled a longer train.
