The layout of the forum pages are such that the main content (normal posts) all appear "below the fold", in other words you need to scroll down to see them.
Most web designers agree that the most important stuff for the user of the page should appear in the top left corner.

BillP I tend to agree with you, but I don't see a re-vamp of the look coming. I will add, however, the the large number of 'sticky's' at the top of each board has gotten me into the habit of scrolling past without looking at them. I don't know if others do this, but for me it has become a 'bad' habit as anything new at the top gets overlooked.
