I know this post is not about 3-Rail trains, but if you're a fan of New England railroads the chance to restore the MEC 470 is big news!  The 470 is a 4-6-2 and the last steam passenger locomotive operated by the Maine Central in June 1954.  It has since sat outside, unprotected for decades in Waterville, Maine.  However, last night the city council voted to sell the locomotive to the New England Steam Co.  Check out their website http://www.newenglandsteam.org for more information.
