March 15 Springfield MO Train Show

I am bringing this post back to the top to remind everyone about the train meet here in Springfield, Mo.

How about a shout out if you are going to be attending this great meet. It is in a 22,200 sq. ft. building. I think there are 12 plus layouts and vendors from various states.

Once, again, please post if you are coming so that we can keep this at the top to remind everyone about this great train meet.

See you there, I will have several tables there and they have put our bunch up on the stage they say. So please climb the stairs up the stage and introduce yourself to out O Gauge bunch.

Driving down from the Kansas City area.  First time at this show.

How does it compare to other shows in the KC area?

Thanks for asking...compared to the KC shows that I have attended, there are a lot more layouts of various scales. I think that this might have more vendors and also more parking. One thing is that there are different vendors here than in KC.

What % is O gauge 3 rail?  Vendors/displays?

I would say about 35 to 45% of the show. HO use to be the dominate scale, as the club putting it on is an HO club. It really fluctuates with each show with O gauge getting larger with every show. There are going to be some home layout tours and one of the home layouts is a beautiful O gauge fully scenic ed layout.

... the opportunity to spend the day meeting model railroaders from throughout the region.

Guys...I will be there along with Mike Burnside from Jonesboro, AR. as well as Richard Gonzalas and Owen Collins from the Casey Jones group in Memphis!!

I'll be wearing my black OGR York shirt so if you see me, please come up and introduce yourself.  I would like to meet you!!
