A while back I installed marker lights in my Railking 2-8-0, been working fine.

Yesterday I had the tender open and disconnected the marker lights and pulled them out of the tender, while doing so I popped off the red lens of one of the LEDs.

Tonight I reconnected them to see if they worked, I would have thought at least one would still work but when I selected the engine, neither LEDs worked and I don't see the LMK "button" in the menu.

I tried a Feature Reset, didn't help.  Would a Factory Reset be the next step?  I may have 2 bad LEDs, but that wouldn't explain why the LMK "button" is no longer displayed.

I found the red lens and I think I can glue it back on, although not sure if it'll do much good.  I may have put too much strain on the wires when pulling the LEDs out.  If that's the case I need to get another set, but I'm still curious why the LMK button no longer shows.

John, When I took a closer look at the red lens I saw the elements inside and knew it was hopeless.

The lights were most definitely on, but I don't recall if the LMK button was in the handheld or not.  If not and I had them hooked up, would they come on anyway?  The answer must be yes as there's no other plug available to plug them into (other than the unused black plug for the powered coupler which I don't use and which I think is a different voltage).

I found a pair of marker lights (LEDs) from an old QSI setup I had in my spares box.  The plug is different but I made an adapter last night and today (after I play some golf in the cold this morning) I'm going to plug them in and see what happens.

The reason I broke the other set was I attempting to take the PS2 gear out of my RK 2-8-0 and install it in my Weaver/MTH hybrid 4-6-0.  I had done everything but remove the module from the tender when I broke the LED and at that point I stopped what I was doing and put everything back in the 2-8-0.  Then I went online and ordered a new PS2 kit for the 4-6-0 (what was I thinking ).  I should get it tomorrow.

I did that a couple of months ago with that Railking RS3.  The ERR kit I had in my WBB E7 just begged to be installed in place of the old Locosounds the RS3 had (plus I have the 3rd Rail E7) to give it some new life.

After tomorrow, my 4 steamers (never thought I'd have 4) and 2 of my 6 diesels will have PS2 guts, the other 3 diesels that run have ERR and the WBB E7 has none.

Is there a market for those old QSI or Locosound boards?  I even have a BEEP and the old WBB Reverse board sitting around.
