The lead engine green marker lights on my MTH ABBA PS2 are not working. The red marker lights on the trailing engine work fine when direction is reversed. Are the marker lights tied into a main lighting system? Should the fix be an easy one?? Thanks for any info you can provide...

You mean the Class Lights?
What model? Normally those marker lights are on regardless of direction. So not sure why they are only on trail in reverse.
They can be connected via spring pad mounted on shell to engage on chassis pad. Getting poor spring contact. G
HW...I'm referring to the green lights above the #26 on both sides of the front of the engine. The engine is MTH Premier...runs great except for the this lighting issue. My other MTH engines have the the green "marker" or "running " lights on in as shown on the Pennsy PA below. The Pennsy "5750" is the lead engine spotting the box at the siding.
GGG I'll check the connections...hopefully, it's an obvious issue.

Yes, but they are "Class Lights" and their color indicates: white = Extra Train, green = Second Section Following, and red = rear of train (locomotive backing up). Marker lights, are always on the rear of any movement or train.

HW...thanks for the info...you're way ahead of me with specifics! I just know the lights don't work and was hopeful the picture above would point out the lights with the issue...
Paul...(and GGG)...
I believe your set is 20-20046-1, as shown in this video review...
I don't have this particular set, but I believe George (GGG) is on the right track (pun not intended!). I recall having a class light malfunction on one of these F3 engines, and the spring-loaded contact between shell and chassis was the problem...I recall it merely had been mispositioned during assembly (or something simple and similar). Hopefully you'll find it to be an easy fix.
George can help you through this if need be...he's the best!

KD and GGG...thanks for your comments on addressing the class lighting issue on my Santa Fe F3 diesel. KD, the video link is for my unit. I purchased an additional B unit and run it with 1938 Super Chief set from GGD...favorite consist for sure!
I removed the shell on both A units to do a visual. I didn't see anything unusual and checked all connections, paying special attention to the springs you both mentioned. I repositioned the springs and re-attached the cab shells. Problem still exists with the lead A unit green class lights...no lights I'll try re-positioning the springs again...one spring appeared to have more of a tail contact with the pad rather than what could be described as a full circle contact of the spring to the pad...maybe that's the issue. Thanks again...
