So Ron, which did you get... or did you get "all of the above"
Was yesterday normal, price wise, for this place? I was very surprised how high they seemed.
I would have passed out due to the excitement of seeing all that.
Regardless, I eagerly await to receive everything you bought via overnight FedEx.
Ron:
As one "old school" train guy to another, thanks so very much for taking the time to share your pictures and insight based upon years of experience in the hobby with the rest of us. With all the off topic stuff we're constantly forced to weed through on here now, your thread is a breath of fresh air.
Thanks again,
Bob
Did you really think that the prices would be low? I believe this is Bill McCluskey's collection. This is one **** of a excellent to new collection.
Funny thing...I sat next to a friend of McCluskey on Friday at McCluskey's Tinplate Auction. This friend said McCluskey was selling to realize the money normally collected by widows. On Saturday, I sat across from Mr. McCluskey who was buying tinplate from someone elses collection. NOVEL IDEA!!!
