That is very cool. You might be interested in a concept I recently found. One item from N scale I wish that some enterprising O scale outfit would duplicate as a product is the N scale Tomix 3076 Streetcar track kit. Rather than having a separate product line they integrated a conversion street system into their track system that snaps into place. Because it is simply preformed pieces the cost is amazingly low to do a conversion. I thought this was an ingenious and simple way to go to use the same track in two different configurations. It also accommodates switches.

I am. Thank you. I had not seen this. I tried to build something like this to convert O-27 track to streets. It took way to much time to make several pieces, but it did work. It was too tedious to do by hand for long, but obvious that a factory jig could knock it out quickly - and cheaply. If I were Lionel or MTH or Atlas and wanted to get into the 'Streets market, I would go this way, converting my brand of track. I do wish at least one other manufacturer would jump in . . .
I like the conversion. In fact I have both of these trucks. I don't remember where I got them but I'll have to try this conversion. Lets see a video Lee of them running.
I will try to post a video. The video camera is kaputt right now. Not sure what is wrong but the images come out way too dark. The RV looks particularly good rolling down my country road - just like it belongs there, which i a way it does.
Thanks Lee. I always appreciate your projects and this looks like one I can tackle myself with your instructions! Thank you very much for sharing! Terry
Great info Lee....thanks for sharing!

Lee,
An easy streets conversion? Sounds to good to be true. Nice work!

electroliner,
Great find on the track system. I was aware of the TomyTec bus system in N-scale (similar to the Faller car system) but had not found their Tomix trolley system. Here's more information I found as a result of your post. Lee, imagine the possibilities with a streets track system like this.
