Does anybody know if menards will have their Engines out on shelves by Christmas? And if they do, what changes will be made from the prototypes?

We on the forum haven't herd a peep on Menards engines other than the 200 that sold out.
I could be wrong (it wouldn't be the first time), but as far as I know, there won't be any Menards engines sold this Christmas. They only just released a "beta" version a few months ago. A limited release of 200 warbonnets, for folks like me to run and provide comments.

Same here. I would expect (hope) that they are refining the electronics based on our feedback. If they can smooth out the jack rabbit starts and whiplash stops, then I'd be first on line to buy more.

Hopefully when they do come out they will still be around the same price.
I would not count on it. Even if it were ready to manufacture, chip/shipping delays would almost make it impossible for it to be ready by xmas. This is pure speculation on my behalf. take it or leave it.
I do agree the harsh stops and starts would be a good thing to fix.
I have no way of knowing, but would be VERY surprised if Menards had another run of their first locomotive (with possible improvements) ready for the Christmas holiday. I would be delighted to be surprised, but really am not counting on it.

...and the QC issues with the remotes.
Yes. Mine worked so I forgot about the issues.
We also have to live with possibility that Menards will find it too expensive to correct all the deficiencies and still offer a locomotive at a reasonable price.

It would have been nice if those units were shared among friends to get a broader user experience. Remember the MTH DCS updates where one issue was solved and another one was caused by the revision? Always thought it happened because they used the same group of Beta testers each time and nobody caught the new issue.
