This truck came apart in 6 minutes. I don't have any Army stuff, so I repainted & lettered it for two local businesses. I haven't decided on the rim color yet...

Great work, and that truck type was never used by the Army, so you made a far more authentic model out of it!
Well Lee...not exactly hahaha
The Farmrite plant went out of business in the 70's as well as the hardware store. So neither would have used a new Isuzu cab over. However, it's still fun. Thanks for the positive comment.
Looks GREAT !!!!
That looks great. You triggered my memory of our local lumber yard and hardware store when I was a child. I would love to redo the truck to represent our local store.
Can I ask how you made or acquired the decals?
Thanks,
Ed
I too would like to know about the decals, they look great!!
The decals were just printed on decal paper I purchased off the bay- It is krylon paint with krylon flat clear. No secret here.
I designed the decal in power point and printed it.
I smeared some micro-sol on it.
"So easy a caveman could do it"
Those turned out great. I think this 'caveman' may just give that a try!!!
I have the modern Ford truck from the Menards feedmill I need to send to a good home, as it is dated about 75 years after the period I am modeling.
HiRailer- send me an email, I think I know a home for that truck. I would email you- but I didn't see anything in your profile.
Thanks
Roger
what is your technique to remove side view mirrors? I would like to keep them intake and they seem fragile
I would like to share some sort of fantastic technique, however I can't.
I pulled them off with a small pair of needlenose pliers. Nothing was glued on, everything was friction fit. Please post a picture of your modified truck!
glad I asked... Done and ready for paint booth
