Bob, same questions. Can you shut the lights off with a switch?? Does the truck pick up a different voltage from the tracks or does it plug in under the car and voltage is reduced. Can the truck be used with the existing system of 4.5 volts. Thanks Paul

I'll go up to the train shop in a bit to take more pictures.. Bob

Cabinet Bob, my two Goodyear trucks on flatcar arrived today, but the right headlight works on neither.  Any ideas on an "easy fix" or should I just wait to get an R/A from Menards & ship them back?  I have minimal-to-no technical ability to diagnose this & am really disappointed.  The trucks & flatcars look GREAT, otherwise.

Ron, sorry about the problem. Please make sure the plug in on the truck is tight, you may wiggle it a bit to see.  Put it on a powered  track and see if your getting contact. Also, make sure you have at least  16 volts. If not, contact guest services, they will take car of you.. Bob

I like that they put two pickups on the cars.  That's a quality move.

The truck pickups are similar in design to the pickups on the MPC baby Madison  passenger cars.  But, the Madison cars have the center pickup on one truck and the grounding axle wipers on the other.  This possess a problem for me as I want to stop the flickering with these fairly cheap pickups.  The issue is that in order to have two pickups I have to replace both of them since neither one is a complete pickup.

Sorry for the sideline comment.  It would be nice if they put a post war truck on a fallen flag road name flat.  With that said, I am a fan of Menards with having bought several of their cars (mostly military WWII).

Alan
