I was on 'em like flies on a cow's behind. But I only ordered two, leaving some for others (and my accounts in the black ). By the way, I know of at least one MOPAR aficionado who bought the Fury Garage less than an hour after I told him about it. The buildings may start showing up at car shows.

I like Menard's products and have been generally happy with them

But this time, I removed mine from the shopping cart.  Tired of seeing a "processing fee".  Not that it is a lot of money.  It's the idea of it every time.  Totally unnecessary charge.  Processing should be included in the price.

Maybe I am the only one?  Not sure.

I agree. "free shipping to store" really is not free after all.

I suppose that Menards could charge $55 per unit and leave out the processing fee... would that appease everyone? I'm not a big fan of tacked on fees but Menards is up front about this before you pay and they charge this on pretty much all special order items regardless of if it's a train item, refrigerator, bath tub or a pack of batteries.

A manager at our local Menards says that this fee covers the cost of packaging an item specifically for a customer, holding it in inventory, and other special provisions for delivery of the item to the store. If the item is something that is already on the shelf, then it also covers the cost of an employee "shopping for the customer" who has to retrieve the item(s), box it up, label it and re-inventory it in pick area. Might be just what he was told to say when asked about the processing fee.

I wonder if it costs Menards more to process purchases on their website vs. in store... I don't see why.

For what I paid even after the processing fee, I think I got a good deal.

very true... maybe this is why we don't see Menards on OGR much anymore with all the negative talk about them...Most company's anymore,  have  a surcharge on everything bought on line with a credit card being used.. go to most eating places , they charge you too....

I’m my opinion the $2.80 processing fee plus the $8 shipping cost to deliver this to me across the country is still very reasonable compared to what I’ve paid for shipping elsewhere.

The car is a nice price as well especially if you consider the cost to purchase each Fury individually.

Thanks again for posting the advance notice Bob and Menards thanks for producing the large variety of trains at such a good price.
