Yes. You can't beat this offer. Time to start a new collection !
I can't find that offer

Bill, it's 14 cars. Here's the link to Menard's announcement thread today:
I had just found that and figured that out but thanks anyway
So I have a problem, maybe you folks can help. I live in Washington State, my layout will be BNSF and UP. So here is the question, from all the great Menards cars, which ones would be proper for the west to mid west?
The freight cars Menards sells have paint schemes from the 1950 to 1990.
The CNW, BN, GN box cars have a chance of being around after 1995 when the BNSF merger took place and the CNW merged with the UP. There would be some of the MILW, SOO, and CP Rail box cars around being used together.

It is a great offer. However, the rebate can only be used for purchases in a Menards store, not on line. Therefore, is it useless for someone like me who lives in New York, unless I drive to Chicago to use it. That would not seem to be cost effective. I would guess that most of Menards' train sales are made on line, from places outside their store areas. Therefore, they should really consider expanding the rebate policy so that people like me can make use of it. Otherwise, it just seems to be rather useless for the majority of its train customers. Menards makes great products---I have 10 of their building on my layout. I hope that they will consider this suggestion.
The rebate offer is not specific to Menards' trains, so it's unlikely to be expanded to online sales since it's intended to get people into the physical stores.
However the rebate is not tied to the original purchaser, so you could conceivably trade the 'merchandise credit check" to a Forum member living within Menards' corporate footprint, for the value of the discount that you would normally been able to use.

Exactly. Menard's, I'm sure, is using the trains and the rebate offer as a bit of a "loss-leader," in old business parlance, to get people into their stores.
You guys also have to remember... they often give you another item, too when not running the rebate. A flatcar, boxcar, recently trees..
