The wait is over, the new Menards O Gauge Scale building is now on their website. I just  ordered.

I will likely incorporate in my layout  as onsite generating plant for an industrial complex or as a rural peaking/emergency on-demand generating facility.

For the price, it could be a good kitbashing. The gas engine could be used as a flat carload like Bill Smith does. Brick ou the lower row of windows or even the lower two rows of windows and brick outghegarage door and there is s nice factory.
Orkeep the garage door and you have a nice garage for trucks, car repair, auto body, etc.....
I think I have to agree with you Rich! I have been waiting for the next Menards building but not so sure of this one for some reason at least not as a power plant! I picture 2 stories at least with tall smokestacks and a place for coal hoppers to unload! I guess I'm picturing an older facility! Still a really nice building with lots of detail! Maybe I'm just spoiled!

Yes, I think it works for a small emergency power station.  I worked for a power company in the past and spent time in large coal and oil fired stations, nuclear stations, and a hydro station.  In addition we had combustion turbines that were diesel engines with metal housings around them, vaguely reminding me of a FM Trainmaster.  Put a brick building around those diesels instead of the metal housing, and Menards rendition is plausible to me.

While I would like to add a small generating station to my layout sometime, Ill have to ponder this one for a while, as I had the taller building with a stack as some of you fellows mentionedmin mind.  That said, I do not have much space, so this would work.
