Hi Mark, Do you know when the electrical hook ups (single or triples) for the buildings will be availble? Its rather frustrating to have The beautiful Red Owl and not be able to light it up. Also any plans for a Wisconsin Central caboose? Appreciatively, UnclepeteRR

There are lots of alternative choices for connecting up your Menard's power to the buildings. I use a 5V regulated power supply with a single diode drop to generate 4.5 volts for Lemax buildings, the same can be done for the Menard's buildings. A 3A supply powers half a dozen animated Lemax buildings.
UnclepeteRR,
We do expect to have a new batch of power adapters in March. I apologize for the inconvenience.
As Gunrunner noted, there are alternatives. Just make sure the power supply is 4.5 volts.

Hi John, I take it you can dial that down to the volts you need? if so do you have a link of where you got it from?
Mike, I got the 3A adapter from my junkbox, it's just a 5VDC regulated wall-wart from some device long since discarded. I added the series diode and then made an octopus of leads with barrel plugs for the building power.
I keep any power brick in a large box of discarded bricks, I've had occasion to use quite a few of them. Nice to have a selection to pick from.
Mike, I got my converter here.
Thanks for the information guys!

Mark,
Are you willing to exchange the three current power packs I just purchased for my Power Plant, Train Station and Corner Hobby Shop for the new properly regulated model?

Hi Mike,
We are completely out of transformers but we are expecting more in early March. When that time comes, and if you are still unhappy with them, we would be happy to exchange the transformers for you.

Thanks Mark, I'd prefer to have the "revised/corrected" transformers than take the chance with the units I purchased with the buildings. Let me know when they are available and how to go about exchanging them.
Mike
JOHN H, I like your idea......A couple of questions. Is the power source a HO transformer?? How many buildings will that unit light??? And how do you connect to the buildings??? Are there plugs you buy??? Thanks Paul

I also have one that hasn't been opened that I would like to exchange for a new one when they come out. How do I proceed?

This is good news. It also should be posted as it's own Topic to update those of us who have expressed concern about the ongoing situation regarding these adapters. I would hate to see someone end up damaging their building from over boosted outputs. Likewise it would be in Menards interest to ensure people are using proper power supplies to prevent over demand from returns of what may be Buildings damaged by the too high output units. Just a thought to ponder here.
Mark,
Have the new, corrected, power adapters come in yet?
Mike
Not Mark ,but Bob, yes the new power adapters are in and are in stock.

I emailed customer service, and attached a picture of the reading on my volt meter of a recently purchased old (2016) adapter 289-4006 (3 outlet AC to DC adapter ) I purchased from one of their stores. They sent me a new one at no-charge.
Mark, do I need to order the new adapters online or will stores be stocking them?
