I am restarting this thread suggesting that Menards produce a Lawsons store and rolling stock, trucks etc.  Lawsons was THE favored convenience store of the 1960s 1970s in  Ohio and adjacent states.  They were famous for an exceptional deli, dairy, and Big O Orange juice.  Their chip dip is addictive, and still made by Circle-K who owns the brand now.   Big O Orange juice was made famous by its catchy tv advertisement which can be viewed online.

I cannot post any images due to copyrights. Please google Lawsons to see some images and history.  A Lawsons box car in light blue with white graphics, box trucks, and a tank car for Lawsons milk could be white with blue graphics, and a silver Big O Orange juice tank car.

Especially now that Menards is deep into Ohio with stores in most Ohio cities where Lawsons was Legendary.

Here are night pics of a well in tact former Lawsons store in use as a convenience store in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland.  The frame of the sign is still Lawsons but with the current Tremont store's sign.  The buildings had specific colors of brick and the eaves always have the exposed rafters painted white, and illuminated just as they are on this example.  Note the close up shot still reveals hints of where the cursive "Lawson's" name was adhered to the brick.  The second set of smaller front doors and windows would have been a rental space often a dry cleaner or laundromat, or some such business.  Not all Lawson's had such an added rental space.20191023_23472820191023_23481220191023_234816
