I have posted some topics about the tubular tinplate track of MERKUR the model train firm from CZ. I received some enquiries but I understand it is hard to believe that LIONEL, and other brands, drive smooth on this new track.

One of my friends owns old tinplate Lionel and was helpful. So in the short video you may see two different lay outs, two different Lionel locomotives and yes they drive smoothly on the MERKUR track. If you like more information please ask. Because I will be at a big event in Germany I wuill answer you all at the start of the next week.

Thanks for posting this, I will check it out.

Divide by 25.4 to go from millimeters to inches, and double to go from radius to diameter, when you get to that question in your mind.

The 900mm switch comes out to about 70.8" diameter. Not sure where measured. That could be "good enough" for tubular O72, especially if an engine does not derail or short.

I'm not getting the currency, I thought Czech Republic used the Euro, guess I am wrong. Or maybe its BitCoin

Well to be honest I am a MERKUR dealer and knowing the circumstances in CZ I think you will be pleased to deal with me. I do cooperate with people in the UK. I was able to convince Merkur to build the 072 point ( or switch) after my British partner had tried it for a very long time.

Transport from Holland to USA is cheaper, I am the one who is responsible for the service, no Dutch taxes for delivery outside the EEC ( means prices minus 21%) and  I do speak English ( at Merkur almost no one does).

Please send me an email at info@blik-en-speelgoed.nl if you need more information.
