Merry magical Christmas! Here is a video featuring the top-of-the -line passenger set from AF in 1955 ($74.95) and some of the magical impact it had on my layout. A customer received it for Christmas that year when he was three years old and wants to share it this Christmas with his grandchildren, but it didn't run. It was my privilege and a pleasure to get it working again.

Fantastic video! To see something that's been long dormant come back to life, especially by the talent of your own hand, and helping to bring magic to someone's Christmas to share with their grandchildren must be a great feeling!
Wonderful! One day I'm going to get one of the AF passenger sets with the Alcos. The only one I have is the 4-4-2 with the burgundy stripe cars. But I want a diesel one to run side-by-side with it.

Thank you. It was great fun reviving this classic keepsake set. He's coming to see it run and pick it up next week. Looking forward to his reunion with it working. He will then set it for his grandchildren for Christmas. Would love to see their reactions to it as well.
