Shouldn't be too difficult, as it is/was essentially and SD70ACE, isn't it?
Looks like a former SD70MAC with the insulated cab. Probably former BNSF?

You mean "isolated cab"? Don't think they were BNSF units, but can't remember what line they were from.
Yes, indeed, isolated.

Are Metra trains really that long/heavy that they need such strong locomotives to pull them?

Yes.
Looks great in the heritage colors!
Very nice paint scheme that goes well with the lines of the carbody
Former KCS units?
It will be interesting to see the big 6 axle EMDs in passenger service.

Absolutely! What with much more horsepower than the current F40PH units, their train acceleration should be much, MUCH better. Plus, with HEP provided from an inverter, the prime mover shouldn't be "roaring away" all the time.
These should be a huge improvement on the noise factor. I was hoping for the Siemens units as replacements, but not in the budget.
The NEW Chicago Metra Bi levels center door have fluted sides. I cant tell if the Atlas one are fluted.
The blue looks correct. Picture taken by me.

A reminder to those of you that posted in this thread about the model. This is the real trains forum. Models that Atlas and/or others that are producing for the hobby should be in their appropriate and respective sub-forums we have created for those manufacturers.
