We are getting an early start to Wednesday this week.  Welcome once again to another issue of Midweek Photos.

I'm certain that a few of you are like me, thinking "Enough of this crap!"  Also known as snow, it can delight people, but with the thaws we get every weekend, and a new coating of white midweek, we are getting kind of tired of it.  At least in Northeastern PA we aren't getting it by the foot like in Philadelphia and Washington. Anyway, here are some of the preserved dining cars and company in our area.  Beginning with 469 the "Phoebe Snow" Diner.  From what I understand, the kitchen is in working order, and the brakes, trucks and such are getting repaired this spring.

The Power for the passenger cars in the Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Preservation society fleet is this Conrail Analyzer Car, originally NYC.

Sleeper in the fleet is the City of Lima, originally a Pullman sleeper for the Nickel Plate Road.

The Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Society cars are just off the path of the Delaware Lackawanna Railroad shops.  Here we see what looks like a light-up reindeer in RS3 no. 4118.  The older ALCOs take the winter months off generally.  Most of the active power is staged at the yard in Steamtown.

A neat relic is this Lackawanna Railroad trailer, also extolling the Route of Phoebe Snow.

Others on the ALCO roster just sitting around are the items parked along the cinder block wall of the food distributor.  C420 no 405 (with the red flag on the nose) was in motion when I took these shots.

That is all for now.  Have a great week and weekend.  Take plenty of snow shots.  We will want these in July.  So they promise LOL.  If you have anything you would like to share, the thread is now yours.  Enjoy!
