Hello, once again to Wednesday and Midweek Photos.  If any of you have pictures of the real railroad scene, time to get them ready and post here.

Steamtown National Historic Site ended their 2016 season with a few trips to Santa's Station (Moscow) this past Sunday.  Two locomotives, RS3 no 1554 and F3 no 664 hauled the train to see Santa Claus.

There were many Santa "imposters" to be found at the station.  Hot and cold drinks available.

Looking inside the passenger station, no sign of Santa here.

This green building, with its red ribbons, looks like a place where Santa Claus might be...

And there he is!  I should have followed the trail of cookie crumbs all along.

Back to the trains, Two youngsters wave at the locomotives as they perform the run-around move.

Nearly ready to head back home.

Once the train arrived back in Scranton, the sun was out, creating these stunning images of a shimmering train against a threatening sky.

That's it for this week.  Christmas and Holiday trains are running all over the country, so it seems.  If any of them pass your camera, be sure to click the shutter and then share with us.

Remember, we have only one month left in the year, so it's time to think about what you can place in our "Year in Review" thread which will be live on December 28.  Look through your files, to see what a year it has been. See you next week.

The George's Creek Railroad has parked their Western Maryland GP 25 at the old Western Maryland Depot in Westernport, Maryland. Westernport is just across the Potomac River from Piedmont West Virginia where I was born a long time ago. Point being, at this small WM depot, when I was about eight or nine, maybe ten, my Mom would take me with her on shopping trips to Cumberland, Md, Via the Western Maryland Railroad, and we left from this little depot at least 70 years ago.

Here are some photos. The old depot is now a museum, with many rr artifacts, but the outside, with the exception of the wheelchair ramp, looks very like it did all those years ago.
