Hey folks! Welcome once again to the thread you can't get enough of Let's get it started...
These two photos of Steamtown's Baldwin Locomotive Works no. 26 were taken this past Sunday, November 3, as the train was rolling through the yard on the Nay Aug Gorge Limited train. The fireman is at the switch, and getting ready to mount the engine as it pulls forward. The sycamore trees in the background are a little past peak on the Fall foliage scale.
Not exactly sure of these trees, but they might be oaks, at their peak as the train pulls eastbound to Nay Aug Park in Scranton, PA.
Reading is Fundamental. These FP7s sit outside the Steamtown museum area, bathed in the last bit of sunshine while the Moon rises in the East.
Two pictures from today. Reading Company 4-8-4 no 2124 is in her new location for the time being at Steamtown. While Union Pacific no. 4012 is undergoing asbestos abatement and other work, the 2124 takes up her display track. We are in standard time now, with the above photo taken shortly after 4:00 PM and the lower photo taken around 5:15.
Now, I invite you to share a photo or video of real world trains you might have encountered. The thread is yours. I look forward to seeing what you have found lately. See you next week.
