Wednesday has returned, boys and girls. And with it is a new and improved version of Midweek Photos. Or so you would think. I took a lot of photos this past week, but left the memory card at work. I will post them tomorrow or soon after. I do have a few pics from several weeks ago that have not been used yet, so here goes.
In Scranton, PA on November 22, Santa Claus came to town, along with Mrs. Claus in a horse drawn carriage. In a railroad town, you are going to see a few trains. The tracks are within a block of the parade route.
There are always slow gaps in a parade, so luckily, the Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad helped fill the time by showing up with the "Portland Turn". Here we see it going u the grade crossing South Washington Ave.
No long after, Steamtown's Scranton Limited pulls up to a switch before crossing the bridge.
And somewhat rail-related, a trolley bus rolled through the parade.
The thread is yours. Thank you to each member helping to spotlight railroading in your area, or places you have visited.
As the holidays are ramping up, a train chase might be just what you need to keep your sanity. However you find your peace, have a great week.
