Midweek Photos 2/4/2014

Dan Your photos don't show up on my computer & I checked on another computer too. Just letting you know. Ok guys hear are the photos I took today. Hard to beleave its 2-4-15 already.

I had a chance to railfan all morning yesterday, 2/3/2015 and toured southeast Missouri a bit. A couple things I wanted to do, get up to SEMO Port near Scott City, MO and see what was there and get a BNSF train crossing the diamond at Rockview MO and passing the big rock south of Chaffee. Well, the UP was running hot and heavy out of Dexter MO and I pretty much followed the line up to Scott City, (about 50 miles). One of the stops was to get a shot of the old Cotton Belt depot in Bell City, long ago moved off track. With that accomplished, caught a meet at Messler, a number of trains at Rockview. From a distance I saw a southbound BNSF coal drag moving across Rockview down to the crew change at Chaffee.  Now the delimma, a number of UP trains are coming, soon, with interesting power. What to do, I decide to let the BNSF go, maybe another will show up, and shoot the UP trains.

After catching a number of trains at Rockview head for SEMO Port, (Southeast Missouri Port) between Scott City and Cape Girardeau, MO. A good number of old geeps around, many looked long out of service. Most were ex Paducah & Louisville, but one ex CNW.

Then backtrack (a pun?) with a stop at Rockview for another train and on t Dexter.

Will have to get that way for another BNSF chance, talked to a man at the BNSF crew change and he said no trains till late after noon. Not a very busy line.
