Midweek photos returns to brighten up your hump day.  Memorial Day in the US is this coming Monday, so I hope you have a great time with family, friends, railfans, and honoring your ancestors and others who made today possible.

Last Wednesday, I took a trek to New Hope, PA for a photo charter on Thursday.  For the event, New Hope & Ivyland 40 would return to one of her past lives as Lancaster and Chester 40.

I caught a few shots of her steaming up with a new fire outside the loco shop.

The smoke casts a great shadow in the late afternoon light.

Our train for the day.  6 freight cars and two passenger cars.

Flickering embers in the firebox.

More photos of the day to come.  In the meantime, feel free to share your photos of any real railroading over the past week, month or whenever you happened to capture a neat image of the rails.  Have a good week!

Here are some Pics I took a couple of weeks ago at Heritage Park in Calgary.

They have 2  0-6-0's(former US Navy?) in steam and a great assortment of vintage equipment, including the tail end car that was present at the driving of the last spike(CPR). All the stations that are on site, have been moved here from their former locations. Al

Nice variety of contributions so far! Here are some of the photos from the Lancaster and Chester charter.

Just as the sun was rising, and the clouds moving in, we catch a few glimpses of Lancaster & Chester 40 at Nonesuch Farms.

On the far side of the field there were pumpkins from last season.  Not sure if that was all they grew here.

We had a few static shots waiting for the sun to break out and then get some photo runbys in.

Some sun at the miniature version of the New Hope station at Wycombe.

The New Hope route was formerly Reading Co. It is surprisingly rural considering how close it is to Philadelphia.     DSC_4194

This is the view from the first coach as we were nearing the southern end of the trip.

This rock cut is just behind where the previous photo was taken.

Rushland, PA.  This was the turnaround point of the trip.

More photos later.  Keep adding your shots.

Winter is over.  I've taken the snow shovel off my porch and put it in the garage.  I don't take as many photos when it's not winter, but I don't exactly sit around home either.  Here's a few:  1. Race track behind Kansas City's Union Station.  There's a train through there every few minutes.  2. A pair of Geeps pull the Sioux Falls local home on the BNSF Corson Sub.  3.
