An NS coal train, led by an ES40DC, crosses US 45 westbound yesterday on the BNSF tripletrack at LaGrange, Illinois.

Here are some Pics I took a couple of weeks ago at Heritage Park in Calgary.

They have 2  0-6-0's(former US Navy?) in steam and a great assortment of vintage equipment, including the tail end car that was present at the driving of the last spike(CPR). All the stations that are on site, have been moved here from their former locations. Al

I did a bit of rail fanning on Sunday before work.  I was out in New Haven, MI when I caught this local heading south.

On Monday I headed over to the Mt Clemens Depot on my lunch hour and found this small train waiting on the siding.

Just as the sun was rising, and the clouds moving in, we catch a few glimpses of Lancaster & Chester 40 at Nonesuch Farms.

On the far side of the field there were pumpkins from last season.  Not sure if that was all they grew here.

We had a few static shots waiting for the sun to break out and then get some photo runbys in.

The New Hope route was formerly Reading Co. It is surprisingly rural considering how close it is to Philadelphia.     

This is the view from the first coach as we were nearing the southern end of the trip.

Rushland, PA.  This was the turnaround point of the trip.

This past weekend in Altoona, PA - a rare piece of history happened, and Big Jim Video Productions was there to be a part of it.  Watch Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 #765 tackle the hills and mountains of Altoona, as she pulls a series of Norfolk Southern Employee Specials.  Turn up the audio, enjoy the sights and sounds of mainline steam in the east!

Winter is over.  I've taken the snow shovel off my porch and put it in the garage.  I don't take as many photos when it's not winter, but I don't exactly sit around home either.  Here's a few:  1. Race track behind Kansas City's Union Station.  There's a train through there every few minutes.  2. A pair of Geeps pull the Sioux Falls local home on the BNSF Corson Sub.  3. The Thoroughbred

Midweek I was on coach Franklin Inn enroute from Washington, DC to Enola for the 765 steam trips. I got this view of an Acela from the rear as the coach was attached to a Keystone train to Harrisburg. Photo taken 5/23/2013.
