I'm a bit late to the game this week, but welcome once again to Midweek Photos.
This past Sunday, Steamtown ran a train excursion to Moscow, PA with the F3 combo of "Lackawanna 663 and 664." These are originally Bangor & Aroostook units owned by the Tri-State Chapter of the NRHS and the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society. I caught them posing at the boarding platform at Steamtown in Scranton, PA while the Delaware-Lackawanna RR was switching one track over.
Waiting for the last call, I walked out to get this view of the Electric City Trolley, which boards on the opposite side of the platform.
The D-L units make their classic Alco Smoke.
Backing down to reposition some of their cars, the D-L train came in a line-up to catch this view of the three railroads side by side.
And as a parting shot, here is Union Pacific no. 4012, the Big Boy. This steam engine is not easily photographed due to her size. It was after closing when I took this one. No parked cars to get in the way.
Wednesday may be ending, but Midweek can last into the weekend. Please add your photos here.
