Greetings one and all. I hope your summer is coming along swimmingly, and you are collecting some great images of the railroad scene wherever you are traveling.
Delaware lackawanna Railroad in Scranton, PA has been painting many of their larger work horse locomotives lately into their two tone gray corporate colors. Two recent releases from the paint shop are C425 no. 2423 and 2403. In the top photo, we see 2423 along with 2457, which came out of the shop about 2 months ago.
2423 leads a switch move in the Steamtown yard to assemble a train to leave for Portland, PA the following day.
Yesterday, I caught 2403 for the first time since her release from the paint shop a week or so ago. The sun is also shining on C636 no. 3642. D-L has been in operation since 1993, and it is nice to see so many clean units running around.
That's a start for this week. I will add more as my computer will allow. Have a great week everyone!
