Hello, all. I am starting this thread a little late, since I was called away for the day to assemble the John Oliver Train set at the Electric City Trolley Station and Museum in Scranton, PA. I will post more on this in the 3-rail forum, but here are a couple of photos of what we did today.
Now, on to the real trains. I did catch a few recently.
Steamtown's Nay Aug Gorge Limited train on Sunday, September 10 is caught drifting downgrade over South Washington Ave in Scranton, PA. Baldwin 0-6-0 no 26 is the mainstay on this train this year.
I also caught her charging up the line on the next run (11:30) past some of the University of Scranton gymnasiums.
Friday, September 15, I found a circus in town.
It was nice catching not only the cars, but this beauty attached to them. RS11 no. 1804 from the Delaware Lackawanna. The mix of colors gives the train a bit of a circus-like look to begin with. The cars only spell it out louder.
From the shady side.
This is the elephant/horse car. It can be either, but a car like this holds more horses than elephants. Go figure.
The sleepers. One holds 14 people and the other is good for 24. They all came from the Blue unit train.
