Autumn begins this coming Saturday, everyone.   The most colorful time of the year, so go out and catch some of the railroading action in your area!  Don't forget to add them to the Midweek thread, also.

In 2009, my friend, Vee Pauli took this photo in Moscow, PA of a special train from Steamtown called "My Little Pumpkin Express."  It was a children's oriented ride to a mini harvest festival in Moscow.

The rest of them are mine from 2010.  Canadian National 3254 is walked to the platform in Scranton.

LOL, even the people are dressed in their fall colors.

Don't forget, Sept 20 is talk like a pirate day.  This kid gets it.

The backup light from 3254's tender.

The little known Steamtown Ramblers performing at the freight station.  Aren't you glad I didn't claim they were world famous?

Farmer Bob shows off the bounty of his harvest. Kids pose for pictures with him.  Sort of like practice for when Santa comes to town.

Some kiddie games and prizes.  All in fun.

Okay.  Your turn to take over the thread and add a unique take on railroading in the Real World.  Have a great week.

OK Tim, you want some steam?  I'll give you STEAM, and lots of it!  I got some more rolls (120 format) scanned from the big annual Western Minnesota Steam Threshermen's Reunion.  They have steam everything there!  Steam train, steam tractors, steam sawmills, steam carousel, Steam shovels even steamed hot dogs!  It's the biggest show in the north central U.S.  B&W conversion done by Ilford HP5

Out here on the south plains, with almost no annoying trees to block your view of trains, you can tell that it's autumn when the grass (which is already brown) lays down.
