Wow, Chris AND Ken. I'll buy the first round!
Absolutely Ken, I sure will. Dan if your handling round one, then I got dibbs on number two... I'm looking forward to it also.
Thanks for posting the link! I am going to try and make it since it looks like there are a lot of interesting vendors even for a three railer.
You know I really am as well. After thinking I would not be able to go, and now seeing that I can, I am beyond excited.
If you do go, go on Friday. Most dealers leave early Saturday AM. Saturday sucks! The show is not what it use to be.

That is a bit difficult to do, since Friday afternoon (3-15-2013) is set-up for the dealers, and many model layouts are on the "layout tour schedule" for Friday afternoon & evening. Saturday (3-16-2013) is definitely the day to attend. By Sunday noon (3-17-2013), many dealers are leaving, so you sometimes can get some pretty good deals on Sunday morning.
Thanks Dan! iwas thinking Indy. The Chicago show is great.

I'm bringing my sweet tooth....
I'm bringing my sweet tooth....
A sweet tooth may be good,,,,,,but you better bring lots of cash! Also, lunch at Harry Cary's restaurant, right off the main lobby, isn't bad either.
Oh I will be..thanks for the tip on lunch HW.
I'll be there as always. incognito. I'll be the fat smelly guy.

Stephen, If you're going to give advice, please give accurate advice. You're starting to sound like Spikre on the old Atlas forum.
With the terrible economic situation, it's a miracle we can muster up any money for trains. Whatever your opinion is, it's surely not rooted in fact. I'm no oldhead like most of the guys in this racket but I've been going to these (and the nationals) for over 20 years. The show is a GREAT show even though attendance is surely down a bit, just like anything that is tied to the economy.
Many dealers leave SUNDAY morning, hoping to return home Sunday and be ready for Monday work.
And from what I'm told nearly all dealers attend the Saturday night "banquet" just like they do at the formal one at the National. I never have, but perhaps you should. I do know you can meet your friends from KEY there.
The registration is a whole 20 bucks. A bargain.
I started this post ten months ago and I hope the meet is just like last year.
I have been bitten by the Fn3 bug and O scale is on the back burner ,yes money is tight.
I hope to see many of my friend there.
See yah.
I sure plan on being there, EARLY Saturday morning! Again on Sunday!
I haven't been to one of these since they were at Arlington Park. I think I will be at this one.

I'll just be the chubby guy...hopefully not smelly..
O Scale Trains Magazine will be there. I'll be hosting the Friday night O Scale Roundtable discussion and OST sponsors the model contest. Bring your models and enter them so everyone can see your work. And, don't forget to stop by our tables and say "Hi"!
Just mailed my reservations for tables. Hope to see everyone there!
Outstanding, looking forward to meeting you Mike.
Chris,
Absolutely. Missed you last year.
Dan, Just get a keg or two and some solo cups and call it good.

They might leave early Sunday, but the show begins Saturday morning and always some new treasure to discover! Looking forward to meeting some faces.

Did I mention my pick up holds ice rather nicely in the bed....
New clinic just announced on Billboard Reefers refers.

As far as your pickup... you won't have any room after you leave the show

Ahhhh what a problem to have.....
Definitely agree should be another great show. Lots of stuff going on in O Scale these days.
Does she live in the city itself Will?
Turns out I should take the Metra from Ogilvie to Lombard. Only a 30 min ride not too bad!

True, but the METRA station in Lombard is a fair bit north of the March Meet Hotel, so you may have to take a taxi from the depot to the event.
Yeah its about 2-3 miles north of there....shouldn't be too bad.
Maybe as we get closer one of us or my wife could go pick him up.
