Just saw Amtrak passing through McKeesport,PA with Milwaukee Road observation car.

That has to be the Cedar Rapids, doesn't it? Of the three Skytop Parlor cars and one Skytop Pullman, I think that the CR is the only one capable of main line, Amtrak compliance and operation. Wonder where it was heading and what the event was.

If it was the Cedar Rapids, it must have been hired by a private person or group and was probably on it's way back to Minneapolis from somewhere in the east. I was on the Friends of 261 (owner of the car) "Fall Color Excursion" train on the 12th between Minneapolis and Willmar, MN, and Cedar Rapids was part of the train. (Oddly enough, Willmar has a turntable but no wye to turn the whole train, so on the way to Willmar Cedar Rapids was run right behind 261.)
