Good Afternoon to All,

I managed to win a 5 car set of K-Line 21" aluminum passenger cars in the Mil.Rd. / Up yellow paint scheme. I assume it would  be appropriate to run UP E8's for motive power? If not.  What other type of motive power would be used? Did any manufacture produce yellow Mil.Rd. passenger diesels? Thank you for any advice.

Mark

K-Line made a set of F units in yellow about 12-13 years ago. They had TMCC and were sold only with a set of 15" cars, but you can sometimes find the ABA set sold separately.

You could also go with a Lionel or MTH Bi-Polar in yellow. The Lionel is more prototypically correct, as it is the rebuilt version with the rounded edges. The Bi-Polars were painted yellow after the rebuild, so the MTH as-built version is not strictly correct in yellow. Both Lionel and MTH have also released E8 Milwaukee Road sets in UP yellow.

Or, if you want to get really obscure, you could search for a set of Williams FP45's in Milwaukee Road/UP yellow. They are hard to find and tend to be troublesome, but it is an option.
