Did anyone manufacture a Niagara that could handle 0-42 curves?

Lionel lists a 054 minimum, MTH 072. You may consider starting with the Lionel and work with the swing on the front and rear trucks. I suspect the centipede tender may be a limiting factor. You may want to consider having flanged wheels only on the front/rear.
Frequently, minimums are established based upon turn-outs.
Thanks Gilly. I know the Williams say 72 wasn't sure if MTH had done a Railking that would do 42.
The original introductory video of the Lionel Niagara stated the minimum track curve of O-72 was dictated by the tender, not the steam engine.
Tender will for sure be the issue. I de-railed my VL Niagara twice on 072’s in reverse.
Check this video up close.....my O54 curves

As you can see. it's a pretty close run thing......

There have been no under-sized Niagaras in 3RO produced by anybody. I hope that it stays that way, for some reason.

I haven't tried that detailing-while-in-motion method yet.
Sorry. It was there.
The MTH Niagara with the wired tether does 0-54. The wireless will not.

****! My bad.

I would compare the engine to tender gap on both. A longer wireless drawbar might make a difference.

My CCII Niagara does handle 054's just fine. Even manages 072 "S" curve as well.

Not gonna happen. The biggest thing with 8 drivers on 0-42 is gonna be a mikado. Even if a niagara could, it would look absolutely rediculous with the two center sets of drivers hanging in mid air off the rails.
