Searching the Internet for ideas for a car that could hold an iPhone or touch to play sounds, I came across a neat piece of rolling stock called iCar.  It is a laser cut wood kit by Minutemen Scale Models that will hold the iPhone in landscape.  It is intended to record the track ahead by picking up the image in an angled mirror and reflecting it back at the lens.  Having read many threads over the years regarding video cars, I don't recall any mention of this one.

I just ordered it.  Anyone here have one?

It is $24.95, but you need your own trucks, assemble and paint yourself.  Looks like a fun kit to put together.

I have one of these. The kit was very easy and fun to build. I used Lionel sprung trucks on mine. It only fits an iphone 4 or ipod touch.

Here is a video i made with it during one of the NLOE open houses this past December.

Remember because you are taking the video through a miror you must flip the image back using a video editing software. I used imovie and was able to fix it with one click.

Thanks for the reply.  I'm looking forward to putting it together.  I have an old iPod Touch that will go in mine.

Sounds good.  I have spare Lionel and MTH trucks on hand.  This car should work out well for me.  Thanks for the info.
