My layout is located in the basement of my office building. Today the office was closed, but the basement was open for business.

I have been neglecting my trains but ‘‘tis the season. I embarked on an ambiguous schedule today.  I rebuilt some train shelving. I cleaned all 9 tracks of the yard that had not only got dusty but that had rusted a little bit. Repaired some of the choke throws for my yard switches.  Worked on some dirty track on the mainline and ran some trains.

While doing all that I managed to kneel on a nail.  It’s surprising how much a knee can bleed.  Lol.  I also had my Lionel Allegany go up in smoke.   It’s the second engine I have had develop a short in the last year.  I know it’s part of the hobby, but it sure isn’t my favorite part.  There are no repair shops anywhere near where I live.   When an engine goes down, it’s udually down fur the count.  Shipping doubles the repair bill.

All in all a good day.  The nail hurt but the engine hurt worse.

Here are are some of the beautiful faces I put up in the rebuilt shelf today EFD7D0AF-19CA-45DA-A16D-B2F71C0BACF988B736A3-ED8B-4390-81AB-3F7691C54E87F6E13EAF-2CD7-45BB-82F5-3276E97C991B
