maybe take a volt meter to one end of power, one to the lamp and other lamp lead to volt meter to see the draw. im curious too. I thought I might try that with my MTH buildings to get a real reading of amp draw and voltage.
This is what I did and the GN Man was accurate with 12-16 volts. Actually 12 volts was to bright so I settled with a 9 volt, 1 amp wall wart to drive 12 lamps.
Most of the time I find that a bulb rated at 12V runs pretty bright and hot at 12V. I like to run them at a lower voltage, less heat and still plenty of light.
