I had heard about this years ago, but never saw it.  I just found it it on YT.  Unfortunately the color is messed up in spots.  BTW, for those who don't have the time to watch this, there is a shorter edited version on YT.

WARNING!  Look away from the screen whenever a rival publisher is shown!

Ah yes, the HO section.  A nightmarish cornucopia of seemingly unlimited (especially compared to O), prototypically correct locos and rolling stock with a huge selection of railroads to choose from, correctly gauged two rail track, a universal command control system, and an almost infinite (compared to O) selection of structures, vehicles, detail parts, and almost everything else a modeler could possibly want.

Lucky me, I'm into toy trains, Lionel Lines is my favorite railroad, and none of that matters.

That's pretty funny right there (and true), I don't care who you are!

Ward Kimball and Walt Disney went together by train to the Chicago Railroad Fair in 1948.  Ward had a real operating narrow gauge locomotive on his property - look up Grizzly Flats RR.  He also had a huge collection of prewar trains.  He was really into it.  He certainly is missed.

The person who posted this video on YT, had no description about this video. Below is two screen captures from the video. I Googled Frank's Hobby Shop and found two. If you have more glues, let us know. I have heard of Ward Kimball as stated by member. Seacoast.

Maybe you know some of these people in the acknowledgments. We all no about Model Railroader and its history.

Not that visiting Frank's Hobbies was anything special to a local, but I sure thought it was on my first trip to CA in 1974.  There just wasn't that caliber of hobby shop up in this neck of the woods back then.

Travel Town was a railroad museum at Griffith Park in LA.  I think it is still there.  The equipment from the Grizzly Flats RR went to another RR musuem in the area after Ward passed.  BTW, it was a 3' gauge backyard RR with real equipment.  I believe his engine was named "Chloe".

Ward was indeed a TCA member and his collection was very extensive.  There was a featurette about him and his trains on the Disney Channel back in the late 80's.

Grizzly Flats and a couple of Wards Locomotives and some rolling stock are now at the Orange Empire RR Museum in Perris CA. Been there a number of times.

How about Travel Town, is it still there?  I remember there was a large live steam layout there as well as prototype equipment.   I think that one of the engines was previously owned by Gene Autry.

It is delightful to see what Ward could do with the resources of the Disney Studios.  My favorite memory of Ward was at the banquet for a TTOS national convention in Hollywood.  Following the dinner, the MC went to Ward's table and held up the table cloth.  During dinner Ward had sketched all over it and told the MC to auction it off as a donation to the club.  It went for $1000 if I remember correctly!

Back to the video, tis a shame that there probably is not enough of a market for some studio to correct the faded color and offer it on a DVD.

LOL!  First saw this at a Local NMRA Meet back in the mid-70s.  Thought it was a entertaining then, and I still do!

I can't for the life of me figure why someone edited-out the "over the top" dancing girls scenes in most version circulating on Youtube.  They fit in perfectly with the bizarre humor that runs though out the film. To remove the dancing girl scenes really does the film a disservice.

I would definitely be "in" for a decent DVD of the full version it!
