modernizing lionel's 6-12062 crossing gate

Although the engineers fixed the gear problem, the gate is still something seen in years gone by rather than modern gates. I updated the gate by sawing the old one off right in front of the first "light" and then attaching one solid piece instead. A 90 degree angle piece of Plastruct fits over the metal crosspiece, the new gate is a piece of solid Plastruct glued to it and reinforced on either side. Stripes are best added before attaching to the mechanism. The closeup illustrates.
