Modifying a 45 Automatic gate man

Has anyone here ever removed the static crossing sign on this accessory and installed an original post war operating crossing signal? I am thinking it would look o.k. and add a bit more interest to the accessory.

If anyone has done this, a photo posted here would be appreciated.
