Modifying the MTH "Linde" Cryogenic boxcar

This model is a near replica of the prototype Linde Industrial Gases boxcar that houses a tank for transporting a cryogenic gas. On the Linde prototype boxcar an insulated tank is installed within the boxcar to protect the cryogenic gas contents and isolate the tank.

Modifications:

First the model was completely disassembled and the original "tank car body" was removed and discarded. A new 36 foot long "cryogenic" tank with tank bolsters was used as a replacement. A real "wood" floor was also added.

OK I'll bite. What's the difference BTW OEM tank and the cryo tank?

MTH supplied a RailKing tankcar body complete with a ladder and wire handrail (minus the underbody structure).
