Hi Guys, another Baldwin pacific of 1922 restored to working order and maintained in beautifull condition in Brasil is Central of Brasil 370. Also of the 5ft3" broad gauge . Hi Al, you are right, this pacific is an Alco product. The one on my other post engine 353 is a Baldwin. I stand corrected. Never noticed what the small 2-8-2 was ,it looks like a Baldwin product ?? cheers DAVY

Hi Steve, I think they're just whistle-happy to have the engines up and running again.As far as I'm aware that Alco pacific was a static exhibit for many years and a lot of blood sweat and tears went into gettin her back running again. DAVY

I looks and sounds like the Pacific's got an air solenoid activated whistle, in which case, you got a choice of on or off, so you can't "feather" it. It also looks like they were shagging foamers off the track by the station.

Rusty, in the first video, look at about 1:50 into the video, the whistle is lanyard operated, but the guy on the engineer's side running board is reaching up to pull the lanyard, just not using much "Finess"(sp?)
